Max Watanabe is a consultant specialising in enabling change in major corporations. In his consulting, he uses key concepts from Positive Psychology, Positive Organizational Scholarship, and Appreciative Inquiry. His training includes workshops in leadership and management development, sales and sales management, and creating positive working environments.
Max’s clients have included Aeon Group, Applied Material, Corning Japan, Dunhill, Dyson, Ernst & Young, HSBC, Hitachi, ING Life Insurance, Japan Railway West, L’Oreal, Merck, Mitsui-Sumitomo Bank, Morgan Stanley, NEC, NTT, National Tax Agency, Newell Rubbermaid, Softbank, TesaTape, Tokyo Metropolitan Office, and WR Grace.
Max studied Economics at Chuo University. He earned an MBA at the University of South Carolina and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Hoso University Graduate School. He is a certified CTI and Action Learning Coach and a Master NLP Practitioner.
In 2008, he established the Center for Positive Innovation to promote positive psychology and its applications in Japanese society.
Max speaks Japanese and English and resides in Tokyo, Japan.
